Founded in 1817 by Platt Benedict and named for Norwalk, Connecticut; Norwalk “The Maple City”, Ohio is located just 10 miles south of Lake Erie and is the county seat of Huron County. Norwalk takes great pride in maintaining their urban forestry and for the past 33 years has been given “Tree City” status through the Arbor Day Foundation.
